Trump defends Kushner over possible contact with Russia

(MENAFN) After reports showed US President's son-in-low Jared Kushner had tried to set up a secret communications with Moscow before Trump took office, the latter attacked news media and dismissed leaks from White House as 'fake news'.

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly had made the rounds on TV news shows to praise so-called back channel communications, epically with Russia, as a good thing.

While Donald Trump is back home after his nine-day tour in Middle East and Europe, he returned to face many questions about alleged communications between his senior adviser Kushner and the Russian ambassador to Washington.

After that, Trump tweeted: "It is my opinion that many of the leaks coming out of the White House are fabricated lies made up by the 'FakeNews' media."
