UAE- Tadweer organises 'Let's Sort Together for a Better Environment' in cooperation with Averda

ABU DHABI, 29th May, 2017 (WAM) -- Tadweer, The Center of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi, has organised an awareness event entitled "Let's Sort Together for a Better Environment" in cooperation with Averda, Al Ain Centre for Care and Rehabilitation, and Etihad Modern Art Gallery. The event was aimed at raising awareness and highlighting the importance of preserving the environment at Al Ain Mall.

Nayel Rashed Al Shamsi, Manager of Tadweer's Al Ain branch, said, "Our objective is to promote environmental awareness in society of waste segregation at source and recycling, in order to help them understand and adopt the best sustainable environmental practices. This comes in line with our customer-centric mission and values of promoting sustainability, change, excellence, innovation, social responsibility, and empowerment."

"This event is part of Tadweer's efforts to underline the benefits of recyclable waste, foster a sense of responsibility, and shed the light on segregating waste at source," Al Shamsi added.

During the event, a number of programmes and activities were held, including a workshop for children and adults, a competition to collect the biggest amount of recyclable waste, and a reading platform.

Through these activities, Tadweer seeks to advise the public on the significance of environmental preservation and sustainable development.
