Pakistan- PTI trying to politicize power outages issue: Amir Muqam


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 28 May: Adviser to Prime Minister Amir Muqam on Sunday said that the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) members of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly are now attacking grid stations and trying to politicize the power shortfall issue.
Addressing a news conference in Peshawar, Amir Muqam criticizes Imran Khan and alleged that the PTI chief is introducing a new trend of terrorism in the country. He said that some elements are trying to politicize the power shortage issue. He said that attacking grid stations also fall in the category of terrorism.
Muqam alleged that the PTI government could not produce even a single megawatt during the last four years despite having full power to initiate projects.
Amir Muqam said that the government is working hard to upgrade power transmission system besides power projects to eliminate load shedding by the next year. He said work on mega power projects including Golangol, Tarbela-IV, Neelum-Jhelum and Diamer Bhasha dam is in full swing. He also excuses to the masses over prolong power outages.
The Adviser also demanded of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice to take notice of attacks on grid stations in the province.
