UAE Embassy in Sudan implements iftar project

KHARTOUM, 27th May, 2017 (WAM) -- The UAE Embassy in Sudan has distributed iftar meals and other food supplies in Omdurman, Khartoum and Eastern Nile as part of a month-long charity project funded by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The project benefits some 6000 underprivileged people with daily meals.

Ambassador of the UAE to Sudan Hamad Mohammed Al Jenaibi, who is overseeing the project, said that the Foundation's annual initiative aims to promote the values of generous giving and solidarity between people of fraternal and friendly countries.

It is also a continuation of the UAE's humanitarian vision and regional and international role.

The beneficiaries thanked the Foundation and wished for further progress and prosperity for the UAE and its leadership.
