Kuwait- Turkish security arrests eight IS suspects


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, May 23 (KUNA) -- Turkish security forces arrested eight suspected so-called Islamic State (IS) militants in Sakaria city northwest of the country, Turkey's security sources said Tuesday.

Turkish news agency (Anadolu) quoted the sources as saying anti terrorists units conducted a raid after carefully monitoring their activity.

The sources added the city's court ordered their arrest, before their attempt to travel to IS-controlled areas in Syria.

Many Turkish city, among them the capital Ankara witnessed terrorist attacks, most notably after a peaceful protests in Ankara on October 2015, which resulted in killing 103 people. (end) rs.mb
