Over 70 percent of Azerbaijani athletes, who participated in the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku, won medals, Chingiz Huseynzade, vice president of the Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee, said.
Huseynzade made the remarks at a press conference dedicated to the results of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku May 23.
He added that Azerbaijani athletes performed at a high level at the Games.
The 4th Islamic Solidarity Games were held in Baku May 8-22. Azerbaijan took the lead in medal standings at the Games as Azerbaijani athletes won 75 gold, 50 silver and 37 bronze medals.
