UAE- Ajman Ruler briefed on Ministry of Infrastructure and Sheikh Zayed Housing Programmes

AJMAN, 21st May, 2017 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has reviewed the Ministry of Infrastructure Development's strategy and plans in accordance with the overall strategic vision of the UAE to achieve excellence and sustainable development.

H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi was also briefed on the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme's plans and strategies for the next development phase concerning residential complexes in the Emirate of Ajman for the year 2021. This project includes the design and construction of 729 housing unit in the Al Montazi, and 306 housing units in Al Rakeeb.

This came during a meeting between His Highness the Ruler of Ajman and Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Ajman Land and Property Department, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development and Chairman of Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, and Jameela Al Fandi, General Manager at the Programme.

H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid listened to a detailed presentation by Dr. Al Nuaimi on the most important projects to be implemented, including road networks and bridges to link the UAE and facilitate freedom of movement, in addition to infrastructure projects implemented by the Ministry in Ajman.

The Minister and Ms. Al Fandi also briefed His Highness on the projects of Al Montazi and Al Rakeeb 2 complexes in terms of their progress, and the facilities to be made available, including schools, health and youth centres, mosques and easy-to-access markets. They then briefed Sheikh Humaid on special programmes and projects related to infrastructure development in the emirate, and how they tie in with the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme's objective to provide citizens with suitable housing and facilities.

During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Humaid said that the UAE's road networks, infrastructure, services and housing provided to citizens are considered of the highest standards in the Arab region and the world. 'The UAE's infrastructure development according to the highest international standards is thanks to our wise leadership, President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Federal Supreme Council Rulers of the Emirates.'

Sheikh Humaid emphasised the need for cooperation and coordination between all government institutions in various sectors to assist the Ministry of Infrastructure Development in their projects.

The Ruler of Ajman praised the efforts exerted by Dr. Al Nuaimi and Ms. Al Fandi for carrying out projects that will further develop vital services in the UAE. He also praised the role of all those who contributed to the success of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme's projects, including local authorities, especially the Municipality and Planning Department.

The Minister of Infrastructure Development and Jameela Al Fandi expressed their appreciation of Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi's directives to facilitate the ministry's tasks and the Zayed Housing Programme by allocating land in many areas to the housing projects of the programme in order to provide a decent living for the people of the emirate.

The meeting was attended by a number of Sheikhs and senior officials.
