ACMSS urges Congress and the new administration to work in a bipartisan way on a plan that improves the health of all Americans.

'Today's Affordable Care Act covers the minimum preventive benefits accessible to all Americans, said ACMSS Executive Director Kristin Hagen. 'All parties need to work together to ensure the success of the program continues, keeping millions of Americans insured, and that we keep moving toward a patient-centeredhealth system that emphasizes prevention, disease reversal.America's healthcare system is innovating today, with minimal oversight, allowing the greatest autonomy.21st Century care exists today.

ACMSS believes that Medicaid expansion is essential in building 21st Century clinical care, research, and outcomes across medicine, preserved inACA, keeping the healthcare system on track and focused on value-based patient-centered care based on wellness. ACMSS was concerned that provisions of the proposed bill, along with proposed amendments during the debate leading up to the vote, would strip people's coverage of many screenings and preventive care activities that are necessary to improving the health of Americans and preventing disease. 'To be truly well is to ensure American's have the resources, tools, and services available to customize, tailor care, and individually overcome. Today we have those opportunities thanks to the ACA.

'The volume-based healthcare system of the past of treating sick people and reacting to disease and injury is costly, and it does not work. Prevention is America's future. says Hagen. 'ACA improves our access and to public healthcare.ACMSS assists in innovating quality evidence-based paths toward wellness, utilizing ACA as the base. Americans need and deserve minimum protections and adequate covered care that focuses on prevention and reversing disease to keep them well. Every patient, every story is unique.
