TCI informs, educates, connects, and supports people through our interactive platform that allows expats to join a community of industry experts and like-minded individuals with shared experiences.

This number doesn't even include the number of people who are considering the possibility of living abroad. We call these individuals 'Prepats. If we conservatively assume that each of those 8 million people represent an additional five people who are considering a move abroad, that would constitute an additional market of 40 million people.

However, these prepats are facing a problem. They simply don't know where to start or who to talk to. Everywhere they turn, someone is trying to sell them a product or service. There are no full service resources available to those interested in becoming expats, nor is there educational assistance available for those in the process of transitioning overseas. We define full service to include access to information, education, and decision-making support.

Where can expats find the information and support they need to start a new life abroad? The answer is simple: Transition Concierge International (TCI).

TCI is a full-service provider of expat education and transition services. We exist to educate expats about their options and to support them during every step of their transition. We allow customers to embrace their dream of living abroad, while also addressing the realities of being an expat. This is an approach we call 'optimisticrealism.

Our objective is to assist all aspiring expats in moving abroad, and to create a network of like-minded people to share the experience and excitement of expats everywhere. Our organization is regionally unspecific, so we can help expats no matter what country or city interests them.

We believe in the 'Three E's of Success (E3): Expose - Educate Encourage. Each principle is aligned within one of our three primary business units: (1) Expose: On My Way To…, (2) Educate: Expat-U, and (3) Encourage: Expat Transition Services.TCI accomplishes these goals through TVC (Text, Video, and Conversation).

Text Customers receive honest and timely information through our newsletter, online articles, discussions, and our weekly LiveChats.

Video Video content expands customer's views and understanding of expat life.

Conversation Through webinars and small group video-conference workshops, and RoundTables, we create the TCI Expat Community, a global network of expats and experts.

We are a community of like-minded individuals that includes a team of expats and experts who provide information and education. We have several business units to help expats at every stage of their journey.

On My Way To… helps prepats explore the possibility of moving abroad, with the ultimate goal of helping them decide where to go. We help them explore their mindset, motivations, needs, and desires as they relate to the life of an expat. We also provide a variety of content designed to help them research different locations to the end of making an informed decision as to where to go.

Expat University (Expat-U) is an online university that educates prepats on what they need to know to move to a specific country. We offer a full curriculum of blended learning that runs for 8 weeks. The university also has the capability to create curriculum tailored to the needs of corporate customers.

Expat Transition Services (ETS) helps expats transition to their new countries. The number one reason why expats return to their country of origin is they fail to transition successfully. We provide individual guidance, language services, access to industry partners, and in-country support as needed.

The TCI Expat Alliance is our team of expats and industry experts focused on analyzing and documenting the expat mindset and experience in its essence. They advise us, write articles, manage blogs, and conduct webinars and round tables. They represent a collective of expat experiences and perspectives that helps us understand and relate to everyone within the Community.

Expat Alliance Advisory Committee: We have formed an advisory committee from selected members of the Alliance. These committee members bring both their expat experiences and professional expertise to TCI to guide us as we grow.TCI Expat Community:A community of like-minded individuals interacting with each other and our team Expats and Experts to the end of informing and educating each other as each proceeds through their personal decision process.

TCI is preparing to launch our services to help expats move abroad. So far, our team has made some excellent progress towards this goal.

Market Validation - The TCI Expat Alliance: We reached out to expats worldwide and were told overwhelmingly 'we wish something like this existed when we were moving. Many wanted to help us and The TCI Expat Alliance was created as a team of expats and industry experts representing a collective of experiences and perspectives that helps us understand and relate to everyone within the Community.

Developed Web Presence: Our website's target launch date is March 27, 2017. It has undergone several iterations to include external feedback and critique from our Expat Advisory Board, a subcommittee within the Expat Alliance.. This feedback will also be incorporated into our Facebook page.

Solid Content: Our Advisory Committee finalized our content and our editorial and content creation process. We will have four weeks of content for the soft launch.

Darrell is a serial entrepreneur and an experienced professional with a wealth of knowledge in domestic and international business management, systems engineering and development, accounting, finance, operations, education, and training. He is highly motivated and has outstanding communication and leadership skills.His background includes extensive travel while working with McDonald's Corporation, a Fortune 500 Company in its domestic and international operations, and the Big 4 accounting firms as an auditor. Darrell holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. Darrell has lived in Puerto Rico as an expat and currently resides in Ecuador.


Ken is a seasoned business and operations executive with extensive experience across multiple industries, including medical devices, semiconductors, nanotechnology, communications, high volume consumer products, and global supply chain. Prior to co-founding TCI, Ken formed Clark Addison Group, LLC as an advisory and consulting practice. He has traveled extensively, setting up multi-faceted operations across Asia, India, and Europe. He has also established a global network of resources to benefit his employers and clients. Ken holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from DePaul University in Chicago.


Mark has over 20 years of experience in Accounting and Finance, with a focus on early-stage, high growth environments or companies undergoing change. After five years as a practicing CPA, Mark worked for several consumer-facing, high growth, multi-location entities in hospitality, retail, and technology. During the past decade, he has led the development of finance and accounting for a startup student housing company and a personal service franchise that grew over 200% during his leadership. Mark has an MPA from the University of Texas - Austin and a BBA from the University of Miami.


Yamilette has more than 20 years of experience as a student-focused district administrator, program coordinator, department chair, college instructor, and teacher. Her recent work includes serving as the engagement director/consultant partner for a state department of education school turnaround business unit to provide infrastructure and support for low performing schools. She was also a turnaround specialist for an Illinois School Improvement Grant and her school was the only grant recipient to meet all program goals and receive continued funding. Yamilette received her Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management from Palm Beach Atlantic University, her Master of Arts in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management, and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Oklahoma.


Parker is a business development and communications professional. He has solicited and managed an extensive number of projects ranging from web development to publication of regulatory documentation for major international corporate mergers.Throughout the years, he has successfully led projects for startups and for multinational brands, including Luis Vuitton, Pearson, SeaWorld Parks, Telefónica, and Waldorf Resorts. During the TCI launch phase, Parker is responsible for managing the other members of staff in the redesign and implementation of the website and social media pages. Parker has been an expat in China, Taiwan, Spain and England. He currently resides in Miami, FL.


Dr. Jeanette Taft, has been involved in higher education for over 20 years. She has taught at colleges and universities, both in the classroom setting and online, domestically and international. She also provided training and management consultation nationally as well internationally. Her work and travel have taken her to Europe, Africa, Asia, Central and South America. She is a full professor at Springfield College and in her professional career she served as SVP and COO at Tampa General Hospital, a 1,000 bed, $500M operation and Hospital Director of Healthcare Systems of San Joaquin County in California. Later, she travelled extensively to South Africa and Brazil in her healthcare management consulting practice. She received a life-long achievement award from the United Nations in 2012 and the Susan B. Anthony of Achievements Award in 1991. JT lived as an expat in Guatemala, and spent significant time in Brazil. Dr. Taft is fluent in Spanish and understands Portuguese.
