(MENAFN) Dubai Elect and Water Authority (Dewa) made a deal with Silver Spring Networks Intl to establish a communication platform based on IPv-6 multi-apps radio frequency for smart grid apps.
Moreover, the deal involves the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of RF mesh canopy for smart grids, which will allow Dewa to offer secure communications for smart elect system.
Accordingly, the agreement is part of the firm's efforts to achieve the second smart initiative, known as Smart Apps through Smart Meters and Grids.
Additionally, smart grid involves demand side deal, assets management, power stations and networks automation, systems integration and smart metering.
