Clutch Sports Memorabilia has sympathy for Mr. Michael Fioretti
Michael Fioretti had spent the last few years trying to make a difference in the central Texas area. Fioretti, who set up the Chicago team watch parties four years ago, used the events to auction off exclusive sports memorabilia to fans. The Chicago sports fan called on other fellow Windy City sports lovers to join together to watch and work toward a good cause. What resulted was thousands of dollars in donations to local charities that made a difference in the lives of Texas residence.
Those auctions were integral in helping charities such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Fioretti's events raised $27,000 for the area's charities and looked to continue to leave a positive mark on the region. However, Fioretti was left devastated in the summer of 2016 when his Austin storage locker, holding the group's sports memorabilia, was broken into. In all, $85,000 worth of sports memorabilia was stolen, including signed Muhammad Ali boxing gloves, autographed Air Jordan basketball shoes and a picture of the 2011 Chicago Bulls team. Fioretti and his followers were left frustrated that a group of thieves could take everything. However, like the Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks and Bulls, Fioretti and company dusted themselves off and planned to use the events as a chance to find a new way to help those in need.
