Renewable energy output in Iran to reach 850MW


(MENAFN) Iran's renewable energy output will reach 850MW in the recent fiscal year, according to CEO of Renewable Energy Organization.

Moreover, almost 90 percent of this will come from wind and solar power, while most of the power plants will have 10 to 30MW of capacity.

In addition, five waste-to-power plants are under construction in the country, with a total output of 9 megawatts.

Meanwhile, an USD3bn worth projects in the renewable energy sector have been offered by foreign investors.
