Qatar teams top Arab Open Robotics Championship

Qatar teams have topped the overall championship at the 10th Arab Open Robotics Championship which took place in Doha between March 19 and 21 with contestants from 12 Arab countries.
Qatari teams occupied advanced positions in the six areas of competition where the Qatari Smart Robotics team was placed in the second position in the FLL and the Jordanian team Robo Stars in the first place and Machine Masters team from the UAE in the third place.
Fawzia Abdulaziz Al Khater, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education congratulated the winners for the outstanding performance.
Addressing the closing ceremony at Qatar National Convention Center on Wednesday, Al Khater said Qatari teams have shown excellent performance in all categories. Artificial intelligence is one of the latest disciplines that being taught in developed countries and Qatar has paid much attention to this field in terms of curriculum and providing with necessary support for establishing laboratories at Independent schools, said Al Khater.
Arab youth have proved their innovative abilities in area of artificial intelligence, said Mariam Al Awadi, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee.
