Since 15th February 2017, the day Sasikala was imprisoned, more than 100 letters have been addressed to 'Sasikala, Central Prison, Parappana Agrahara, Bangalore 560100'

Letter-writers have written that their curses would haunt her forever.

Politics CM Siddaramaiah sets up studio at official residence

Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah has given the go-ahead for setting up a video-recording studio at 'Krishna', his official residence in Bengaluru.

The decision, running-up to Karnataka's assembly elections in 2018 aims at receiving positive media attention for Siddaramaiah's government's achievements.

According to a source, the studio will be used for television interviews as well as relaying messages on issues of public importance.

Terrorism IISC suspect was a plumber in Agartala

According to the Tripura Police, Habib Miyan, one of the accused in the terror attack at Indian Institute of Science (IISC) was a resident of Jogender Nagar in Agartala.

The 37-year-old believed to be a points-man of Lashkar-e-Taiba was known to his neighbourhood as a plumber.

Senior police officials said neighbours and Miyan's family members were upset when he was being taken to Karnataka.

According to officials of the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), the construction of the STP has started on a 30x30m area and would be finished in 6 months.

The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) is also contributing to its setup.

Bengaluru Central business district to get 679 more cameras

According to Police Commissioner Praveen Sood, by the end of next month, the central business district (CBD) of Bengaluru will have an additional 679 CCTV cameras.

This will take the number of cameras in the area from 329 to 1,008.

Out of the current 329 cameras, 150 cameras keep an eye on law and order whereas the other 179 are for checking traffic.
