Jordan denounces attack at UK parliament


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, March 23 (Petra) – Jordan on Thursday strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the British Parliament Wednesday evening, which resulted in the death of four people and the injury of 40 others.

Minister of State for Media Affairs, Mohammad Momani, reaffirmed the Kingdom's rejection of such acts, through which terror organizations target innocent citizens and seek to destabilize the world's peace and security.

Terrorism is a transcontinental threat, he said, reiterating Jordan's call for fighting terrorism within a holistic approach and through cooperation between nations to counter this scourge militarily and ideologically.

Momani, who is also the government spokesperson, voiced Jordan's solidarity with the UK in its endeavors to fight terrorism and extremism.

The minister extended the government's condolences to the families of the victims and wished the inured a speedy recovery.
