Jordan, Australia discuss region, anti-terror efforts


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Washington, March 23 (Petra) -- Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi, Wednesday evening, discussed with his Australian counterpart Julie Bishop, the latest regional developments as well as means of boosting relations between their two countries in various domains.

During their meeting held in Washington on the sidelines of the Ministerial Conference of the International Coalition Against Daesh, the two officials emphasized the need to build on the outcome His Majesty King Abdullah's visit to Australia, which created significant scopes for enhancing mutual cooperation .

Safadi and Bishop meeting also tackled efforts to find peaceful solution for the Syrian crisis, the latest developments in the war against terrorism as well as the Palestinian issue.

As for the Palestinain - Israeli peace process, Safadi highlighted the importance of achieving peace based on the two-state solution, which, he said, is the only solution to end the conflict.
