LSM opens doors for students in UAE

(MENAFNEditorial)Students across the United Arab Emirates are turning to one of the UK’s leading educational institutions for career boosting qualifications. The London School of Marketing (LSM) has had a presence in the nation for over a decade, and in recent years has seen an increase in the number of students taking up their blended learning courses. Since it’s launch in 2002, over 28,000 students have graduated from the school, 8,000 of those from the Middle East. The school gives them the opportunity to achieve well-recognised qualifications from a UK accredited university without having to leave their home country. LSM works in partnership with the University of Northampton and is an associate college of Cambridge based Anglian Ruskin University. It also delivers courses for the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Masters and undergraduate course will also be available from the University of Bedfordshire later this year. As a part of the learning package, students receive access to a comprehensive learning platform where all study materials can be accessed at the touch of a button meaning they can study at a time and place to suit them. Students also receive a dedicated online tutor for every module and an opportunity to participate in series of course related face-to-face workshops in London or via a local delivery partner in UAE. Once qualified, the graduate has the opportunity to take part in a UK graduation ceremony in London or some of our planned regional events, internationally. The ceremonies offer a modern take on a traditional graduation. Students are allowed to join their friends and family once they receive their awards with plenty of opportunities to take photographs. LSM has led the way in e-learning and over the last three years has opened a network of Local Access Points (LAPs) across the globe. The LAPs allow students to study in their home countries yet still receive a British qualification. The Middle East is currently home to seven LAPs in cities including Dubai, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Jeddah, where students can enroll for one of the qualifications locally, but study directly with professors in the UK. The school has recently opened its first regional sales office in Dubai to serve its students in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Two more, in Mumbai and Singapore are expected to open at a later date. Anton Dominique, Chief Finance Officer from London School of Marketing said: “We lead the way in e-learning and over the years have seen the number signing up and graduating with us steadily grow. “What’s so exciting is that these courses really are for everyone. Being online, they can be accessed to suit the student and can work around their lifestyle, jobs and family life. “They’re very flexible and we’re also finding they open doors for people. Whether that’s career advancement or personal achievement, these qualifications make a difference. “By opening an office in Dubai, we’re hoping to reach more students in the region. With a physical base, we’ll have qualified employees on hand to offer advice and tailor courses to the individual.” Among the courses on offer with LSM are, MBAs, Accounting and Finance, Human Resource Management, International Commercial Law and International Accounting. One recent graduate, Nisreen Ameen said: “Studying an MBA with LSM was a great experience. “The lecturers are professional, highly experienced and extremely helpful. LSM takes care of its students, going a step further by giving guidance on plans after graduation.”
