Discovery at 'Jesus's tomb' in Jerusalem

(MENAFN) The church built on the spot where tradition has it that Jesus was buried has reopened after extensive renovation work.

While working on a small shrine known as the Edicule, the renovation team exposed two layers of marble slabs over what is said to have been the burial chamber of Christ.

The slabs have now been dated to Crusader times and to the 4th Century, when the Roman Emperor Constantine built the church.
