China's TBEA, Orascom win offer for Egypt power plant


(MENAFN) China-based TBEA and the Egyptian Orascom have won the tenders for installing transformers' substations and civil works for the 650MW power plant.

The Chinese firm will be awarded a deal worth USD5.22mn for the substations, while Orascom will ink a deal over EGP1.25mn for the civil works.

Accordingly, the proposals for another tender for pumps are being evaluated, involving those from Mitsubishi and KSB.

Additionally, the project is composed of a steam turbine with a capacity of 650MW, condensers, generators and other facilities.
