Yemeni President Meets with UN Undersecretary for Humanitarian Affairs

Aden, Jumada I 29, 1438, Feb 26, 2017, SPA -- Yemeni President Abdu Rabbo Mansur Hadi met here today with Stephen O'Brien, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator and accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the country, here today.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of bilateral relations and ways to promote UN involvement, in humanitarian relief affairs, across the country.
President Hadi also urged the UN agencies as well as other humanitarian organizations to pay field visits to review facilities provided by the government, in all seaports and outlets, through which aid arrive, in Yemen.
The UN official hailed stable conditions, in Aden, expressing hope to pay a visit to Taiz and announcing that the UN will launch a wide-scale humanitarian campaign, on April 25 to assist Yemen and to provide it with more relief aid, in order to meet the basic needs of food, water and medicine for the needy.
The meeting was attended by the Yemeni Premier Ahmed Obaid bin Dagher.
