(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) QNA) - Lebanese army chief, General Jean Kahwagi, on Wednesday met Senator Robert Corker, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the U.S. Senate, currently on a visit to Lebanon.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed developments in Lebanon and the region as well as the U.S. support for the Lebanese army.
Corker, praised the security accomplishments of the Lebanese army and reiterated his country's assistance to the Lebanese army's counter-terrorism efforts in order to protect its unity and stability. (QNA)
