Ghanaian Pres. Offers Official Luncheon in Honor of King Mohammed VI


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Accra – President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo offered, on Friday in Accra, an official luncheon in honor of King Mohammed VI, who was accompanied by Prince Moulay Ismail and the delegation accompanying the sovereign.

At the beginning of this official luncheon, the national anthems of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Ghana were played.

The event was attended by the vice-president of the Republic of Ghana, government members, several economic operators, as well as Ghanaian top officials.

During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged symbolic presents. The Ghanaian president decorated King Mohammed VI with the Order of the Star of Ghana, the highest Ghanaian award granted by the president of the Republic.

For his part, the King gave the Ghanaian president the Al Mohammadi Wissam, the highest award in the Moroccan Kingdom.

On their meeting, Akufo-Addo delivered a speech recognizing the King's efforts in leadership and commitment to social justice and the sustainability of peace, stability and democracy that prevail in Morocco.

The two leaders also co-chaired a signing ceremony of 25 governmental and public-private partnership agreements in the different sectors of cooperation.

Upon the King's arrival in Accra, Ghana's Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia told reporters that the King's visit will consolidate the bilateral relations between Rabat and Accra to adistinguished level, particularly in economy.
