(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Registration for the 'Upgrade' programme is now open for Information and Communications Technology students who are interested in seeing their graduation project ideas converted into startups. Registration continues until April 20 on the programme's website www.upgrade.om, stated a press release.
The programme is being conducted in collaboration with The Research Council, Omantel, Riyada, Information Technology Authority's SAS for Entrepreneurship and Ibtikar Development Oman.
Participating projects will be screened in May by a jury comprising programme's partners. Three winners will be announced in June after interviewing contestants and evaluating their presentations. The winning teams will get assistance to turn the idea into a startup company through incubation, consultancy, seed financing and providing technical advice, in addition to a training opportunity with a project-related international firm.
