Sultanate participates in Abu Dhabi International Offset Conference


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Omani Authority for Partnership For Development (OAPFD) participated in the Abu Dhabi International Offset Conference (ADIOC) in UAE recently.

The conference was organised by Tawazun Economic Council, that supervised the implementation of the program in UAE, stated a press release.

Dr Dhafir Awadh al Shanfari, chief executive officer of OAPFD, led the Omani delegation to UAE. The three-day conference discussed different issues relating to global offset, countertrade, industry and education.

The theme of the conference was, 'Enticing Opportunities: The role of industrial partnerships in a shifting economic landscape'.

Delegates from government, leading international companies and industry experts attended the event.

ADIOC represented an opportunity to exchange expert views and share best practices in core offset principles such as economic diversification, foreign direct investments, technology transfer and fair trade.
