McCain sets USD7.5 billion of new U.S. military funding for Asia-Pacific


(MENAFN) The head of the U.S. Senate's Armed Services Committee, John McCain, stated that he aims to provide USD7.5 billion of new military funding for U.S. forces and their allies in the Asia-Pacific.

The official also said that the funds would be used to improve U.S. munitions stocks in the region, or to open modern military infrastructure.

A spokesman for McCain Senator revealed that McCain assumes that the U.S. must sustain its enduring commitment to the security and prosperity of the Asia-Pacific area.
