China to invest in major water conservation projects


(MENAFN) China will start 15 new huge water conservation projects this year amid efforts to enhance investment and stabilize growth.

Furthermore, total investment in major water projects should surpass USD131.3bn by the end of the year, compared with the recent level of 800bn Yuan.

Recently, China views infrastructure investment as significant in boosting growth, while its fixed-asset investment continued to cool in 2016, growing by 8.1 percent.

However, investment in infrastructure construction accelerated by 0.2 percentage points, increasing 17.4 percent year-on-year in 2016.
