Rosneft to meet Putin for QIA, Glencore after stake sale


(MENAFN) Rosneft aims to meet Putin with Intesa Sanpaolo, Glencore and the Qatar Investment Authority to discuss plans after they cooperated in the privatization of the oil producer.

Moreover, Russia sold a 19.5 percent share in Rosneft to Glencore, a commodities producer and trader and Qatar"s sovereign wealth fund for USD11bn.

Additionally, the deal was one of the biggest investments in the global energy industry this year despite attempts by the U.S. and Europe to isolate Russia economically.

Meanwhile, Rosneft aims to increase spending to 1.1tr roubles this year and 1.3tr roubles in 2018 compared with 750bn last year.
