Samsung's irregularly sized batteries cause fires


(MENAFN) Samsung Elects Co. will show that irregularly sized batteries made by an affiliate caused the fires that forced the cessation of its Note 7 smartphone line.

Moreover, the smartphone maker will announce the results of investigations into the fires that forced to kill its most expensive device last year.

Accordingly, the firm will also announce that Samsung SDI Co. made batteries that did not fit properly into the device, causing it to overheat.
