General Elect secures USD1.4bn deal from Iraq


(MENAFN) General Elect (GE) has secured more than USD1.4bn in orders from Iraq's Ministry of Elect to launch power plants as well as offer tech upgrades and maintain services.

Additionally, the new deals will add over 2 GW of power and secure the delivery of 1.75 GW of recent power to the national grid.

Meanwhile, GE will launch the Samawa and Dhi Qar Power Plants, adding 1.500 MW to the grid.

Moreover, GE will also be supplying advanced heat recovery steam generators and steam turbine tech besides serving as the engineering, procurement deals for the projects.
