Kuwait- Cabinet Min. wowed by student projects


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Jan 18 (KUNA) -- Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah on Wednesday commended students of Kuwait University's (KU) faculty of petroleum engineering for their innovative projects.

Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the 31st Design Engineering exhibition, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah said that he was highly impressed with the creativity and splendor of the works shown.

On the projects, he said that the students have done the nation proud, wishing them continued success as they contribute to the development of their country.

Moreover, KU President Hussein Al-Ansari noted that the projects on display is the result of the skill the students have acquired during their academic careers.

He touted an upcoming contest dubbed, "Start Up Kuwait", slated for February 11th, where the best projects displayed at the expo will be featured in that contest.

Similarly, Dean of KU's petroleum engineering faculty Dr. Abdullatif Al-Khlaifi said that a total of 79 projects done by 320 students will be unveiled during the two-day expo. (end) asa.nam
