Kuwait aims to spend USD15.6bn on infrastructure


(MENAFN) Kuwait intends to spend USD15.6bn on infrastructure and other projects in 2017/2018 with the private sector contributing 16.9 percent of the spending.

Moreover, the projects cover houses, roads, electricity, ports, airports, telecoms and renewable energy.

In addition, the government will contribute 49.3 percent of the investments, 33.8 percent will be spent by the state-owned oil sector and 16.9pct by the private sector.

Accordingly, the 2017-2018 Development Plan involves projects aim to spread the income sources, develop the tourism sector and increase investment flows.
