India to launch world's largest solar power plant


(MENAFN) India is recently home to the globe's solar power plant with the launch of its 648 MW facility at Kamuthi in the southern state of Tamil Nadu.

Additionally, the solar power plant in Kamuthi entailed an investment of USD679mn, funded by Adani Green Energy.

Moreover, the plan covers an area which allows it to surpass the Topaz Solar Farm in California, which has a capacity of 550 MW.

Prior to the inauguration of the latest plant, the country already made it to the list of a handful of nations across the world that produces more than 10 GW.
