Inter-GCC trade volume grows to USD115bn


(MENAFN) The volume of trade between the GCC States increased to reach USD115bn in 2015, compared to SR22.5bn in 1984.

Furthermore, the establishment of the GCC Customs Union in 2003 contributed to the fast increase of the inter-GCC trade.

In addition, in the last 10 years, the volume of the inter-GCC trade increased from USD15bn in 2002 to SR431.25bn in 2015.

The volume of non-oil trade between Saudi Arabia and other GCC nations reached almost SR63.5bn in the Jan-Sep period of the recent year.
