(MENAFN) Qatar's economic growth will peak to 3.4 percent in 2017, after which will normalize and more needs to be done to enhance the services sector to ensure growth.
Additionally, costs in the country remain stable despite subsidy cuts in the form of 30 percent to 35 percent hike in petrol prices this Jan.
Accordingly, Qatar's real gross domestic product (GDP) growth is predicted to be 3.4 percent next year, which will normalize to 3.2 percent in 2018.
Meanwhile, the hydrocarbon sector is projected to grow to 0.8 percent in 2017, which will dip marginally to 0.7 percent in 2018 and 2019.
