Qatar's trade surplus reaches QR8.8bn


(MENAFN) Qatar's Foreign Merchandise trade balance reached a surplus of QR8.8bn in Sep of this year, showing an increase of QR0.2bn or 1.8 percent.

However, the trade has declined by QR3.1bn or 25.8 percent compared to Sep of last year, while the total exports of goods in Sep, 2016 reached QR17.1bn.

On the other hand, the imports of goods in the cited month amounted to almost QR8.3bn, showing fall of 8.8 percent over Sep of 2015.

Japan was at the top of the nations of destination of Qatar"s exports with QR3.2bn, trailed by S. Korea with QR2.6bn and India with QR2.3bn.
