(MENAFN) The maritime sector improved its contributions to Dubai's GDP last year, accounting for Dh26.9bn or 7 percent of the total.Accordingly, the local maritime sector has made valuable contributions towards enhancing the GDP of the country.Additionally, the maritime industry was among the five major sectors that impacted the economic growth of the emirate in 2015 positively.Meanwhile, the maritime authority continues to develop and apply strategic initiatives centered on nurturing a maritime environment.
