Expat gets two months jail for assaulting roommate

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A Doha Criminal Court has sentenced a Bangladeshi man to two months in jail for assaulting his roommate, who suffered a broken left arm.

The court convicted the worker of launching a premeditated attack on his roommate.
The victim filed a complaint with the police, alleging that the defendant attacked him with an iron bar and broke his arm. He said he was sleeping in the room when the defendant arrived and woke him up.
The defendant, however, accused the victim of pouring ketchup on his bed, which the latter denied, and a quarrel ensued.
The colleagues of both persons present at the time of the incident took the victim to a hospital for treatment. He later went to the police to file a complaint.
