Greatland Gold plc (LON:GGP) CEO Gervaise Hedder tells Proactive Investors that the Havieron project is in a remote part of Western Australia, but with good infrastructure and interesting neighbours.

"There is a lot of activity there, a lot of great gold and copper anomalies there and we are excited to have a stake in the region" he says.

Hedder's excitement about the project was further stoked a few weeks ago while in the process trying to close the deal. "Rio Tinto staked the ground immediately to the north of us - they obviously see some potential in our immediate vicinity" he says.

Hedder says previous exploration from the 1990s revealed that there is gold and copper at Havieron, plus some other interesting exploration targets on site. "What is great for us is we now have at least one definition target, ready to drill, where we can go out and hopefully prove up a resource fairly quickly for investors - it is a great little package for us" he says.
