Sheikh Mohammed also stressed that Dubai continues to strengthen its position as a major hub for the media in the region through strategic partnerships with major media organisations in the world. He added that given its well-developed infrastructure, Dubai is within the reach of partners seeking to expand their business in the region.

"We are keen for dialogue with our partners, to listen to their views and ideas. We continue to develop a supportive environment for their businesses, so as to move together towards more joint successes," he added.

Regarding the current role of media at a time of challenges, Sheikh Mohammed also asserted the importance of the media, saying, "The challenges that the world faces today are very complicated, and the media shoulders a great responsibility in such times, due to its role in clarifying facts and the transfer of information and news, impartially and objectively."

He underlined the importance of investing in young people through providing conditions that will enable them to carry out their duties unhindered and draw future, each in his own field. "The UAE is keen to prepare generations of media-conscious people who are capable of participating in the development of the media landscape, not only within the state, but also on the level of the Arab media, in general."
