UAE- RTA receives Kazakhstani delegation

DUBAI, 8th September, 2016 (WAM) -- Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads & Transport Authority, RTA, and a Kazakhstani delegation headed by Asset Issekeshev, Mayor of Astana City, have discussed cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, the Kazakhstani delegation was briefed on the RTA's achievements and activities since its inception. The meeting also touched on RTA's modern technologies in operating mass transit systems mainly using the unified card, NOL, for paying the fares of various transit methods.
Mr. Issekeshev hailed the achievements of the RTA in constructing infrastructure projects, expressing his hopes for the boosting of cooperation, sharing of expertise, and the holding of workshops between the two sides.
The meeting was attended by Kairat Lama Sharif, Ambassador of Kazakhstan and Arman Issaghalieyv, Consul-General of Kazakhstan in Dubai, and Maitha bin Udai, CEO of the Traffic and Roads Agency, Abdul Mosen Ibrahim Younes, CEO of RTA Rail Agency, and Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, CEO of Public Transport Agency.
