Canada denounces DPRK missiles test

(MENAFN) Canada on Tuesday condemnned Pyongyang's launch of ballistic missiles into the Pacific Ocean one day earlier.

In a statement issued Tuesday afternoon, Canadian Minister of Foreign Affair Stephane Dion said Canada strongly condemns the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s launch of three ballistic missiles on Monday.

The DPRK "continues to demonstrate its wilful disregard for its international obligations and the will of the United Nations Security Council through its repeated ballistic missile tests, which are in direct contravention of multiple Security Council resolutions," he said.

He pointed out that the DPRK's reckless ballistic missile launches threaten regional and international peace and security, urging Pyongyang to cease its provocations and immediately and verifiably abandon its ballistic missile program.
