Oman- ROP News: Two arrested for drug trafficking in Shinas


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat-

The Directorate General for Combatting Drugs and Psychotropic Substances in North Batinah has arrested two drug dealers from Shinas. The accused were arrested from a farm that was being used for sale of drugs.

A source said that the two tried escaping but were nabbed by the police. Officials confiscated 19 packets and 21 rolls of hashish from the farm. Police also found a large bag of heroin and tablets of Captagon. The accused have been referred to the Public Prosecution and legal procedures have been initiated against them.

63 liquor bottles seized

Customs officials from the Buraimi and North Batinah police commands foiled attempts to smuggle around 63 bottles of alcohol.

Firearms, firecrackers seized

Sleuths from the customs department in Buraimi and North Batinah seized 63 boxes of firearms and crackers from Wadi Jizzi.
