Russia calls for guarantees for safe delivery of aid to Aleppo

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MOSCOW, Sept 5 (KUNA) -- Russia on Monday called for guaranteeing the safe delivery of humanitarian aid for the people in the Syrian city of Aleppo.
Providing these guarantees should not be conditional, Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said in a statement.
He hoped Washington contributed to the delivery of the much-needed humanitarian supplies to Aleppo. Antonov said the Syrian government pledged to protect these roads to guarantee smooth delivery.
Russian and Syrian authorities worked hand-in-hand to deliver humanitarian supplies to the people of Aleppo through seven roads. (end) as.bs
