Dr Al Kawari to visit China

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) H E Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kawari, Cultural Adviser at the Emiri Diwan and Qatar";s candidate to the post of Unesco Director-General, receiving the invitation presented by China";s Ambassador Li Chen.

Doha: H E Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kawari, Cultural Adviser at the Emiri Diwan and Qatar";s candidate to the post of Unesco Director-General, yesterday received an invitation by China";s Minister of Culture Luo Shugang to visit the country and present his election program in mid-October.

China";s Ambassador Li Chen handed the invitation to Dr Al Kawari during a meeting.

Dr. Al Kawari accepted the invitation and said China is a main stop of his overseas visits to present his electoral programme under the theme ‘Towards a New Start for Unesco";.

During his visit to China, Dr. Al Kawari will also hold meetings with officials engaged in the culture and education fields as well as writers and intellectuals.
