Jordan- PM visits Ajloun, checks on number of projects

Ajloun, Sept. 3 (Petra) -- Prime Minister, Hani al-Mulki, accompanied by a ministerial team, on Saturday, visited Ajloun Governorate, where he met with its public and official representatives and checked on the workflow of a production branch for a clothing company that employs hundreds of Ajloun females citizens.

He also checked on a project to set up a Chairlifts and a conference hall and visited the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature.

The visit is part of field visits undertaken by the government in implementation of Royal Directives by His Majesty King Abdullah II to check firsthand the needs and concerns of the citizens in all governorates of the Kingdom.

Al Mulki announced that the government is going to implement developmental projects and infrastructure services, this year and next year, and provide job opportunities in Ajloun that benefit the people of the governorate, some 76 kilometers north west of Amman.

The prime minister said that the government is seeking to increase the productivity of workers, through operational and productive opportunities as the government is unable to continue the recruitment process.

The government, he added, has allocated JD25 million for self-communion employment that will contribute to creating income for Jobseekers in addition to supporting the establishment of small businesses and attract investments that create jobs for the people of the governorate.

The premier stressed the importance of focusing on priorities and disburse all project funds in place as well as responding to the demands of citizens through follow-up visits and projects being implemented in the governorate.

The prime minister underlined the importance of coordination between the public and private sectors to promote economic and industrial sectors, which play a major role in developing the national economy, provide jobs for the unemployed and attract investments.

Al Mulki called on citizens to support and cooperate with the government in setting up priorities for work as the government is serious and committed to implementing its pledges and ready to be questioned if it doesn't meet them.

Then, the prime minister answered questions and queries of Ajloun's citizens.
