(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Head over to The Big Clearance Sale event at the Dubai World Trade Centre today for some great deals. The event, which opened on Thursday, ends today.
The event includes more than 40 global brands, offering discounts on over 80 per cent of merchandise from apparel to perfume and cosmetics. The event is organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism). The event will be open from 10am to 8pm today and entry is free. "The arrival of yet another edition of The Big Clearance Sale speaks volumes of the huge demand for such end-of-season initiatives that offer great value to both retailers and shoppers," said Saeed Mohammed Mesam Alfalasi, executive director, retail and strategic alliances, DFRE. "The participation of leading retail groups at this event also demonstrates the solid collaboration that exists between the government and private sectors of Dubai to achieve the common goal of showcasing the city as a 'must-visit' tourism destination offering unique shopping experiences." Every visitor to The Big Clearance Sale will receive a 'Visit and Win' raffle coupon that will be entered into a daily draw, offering two prizes of Dh5,000 in cash. Additionally, for every Dh300 spent at the event, shoppers will be entitled to a 'Shop and Win' raffle coupon that will be entered into a draw today for the grand prize of a Jeep Wrangler Sport. Resident-speak Philip, a Filipino who was at the event on the opening day, said: "We are planning to go back home to the Philippines in a few months to enjoy Christmas with our families, and this is the best time to do our Christmas shopping." Sri Lankan national Prasad Perera was among the early shoppers seeking out the best deals. "I bought a pair of shoes for a great price and my wife has gone to Springfield to find some items for herself. We are so happy to be here today, the prices are amazing." Sana, a Pakistani, said: "I came here with my friend to buy some high quality clothes for a good price. I am on my way to Juicy Couture to find out about the special deals they are offering." Share
