(MENAFN- AFP) Ireland's government on Friday agreed to appeal against an EU ruling ordering Apple to pay the country 13 billion euros ($15 billion) in back taxes and said parliament would be recalled early to debate the issue.
There was a "unanimous decision by the cabinet to appeal the decision," a finance ministry spokesman told AFP after a crunch cabinet meeting amid divisions between ministers over whether or not to accept the European Commission's finding.
