Morocco Ranks 28th Friendliest Country in the World


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Morocco has Ranked 28th Friendliest Country Worldwide for Expatriates, Higher Than France, Germany and Finland.

A new report titled Expat Insider 2016, released by InterNation, assessed 67 countries in the category of work-life-balance from the perspective of expatriates. A number of 14,272 respondents from 174 countries and living in 191 different countries participated in the online survey that ran from February 18 to March 13, 2016.

The overall ranking took five main elements into consideration: quality of life, ease of settling in, working abroad, personal finance, and family life.

With regards to the ranking of expats' ideal living destinations, Morocco ranked 37 among the top 57 best destinations.

As for the first element taken into account in the survey, quality of life, it contains 5 subcategories: leisure options, personal happiness, travel and transport, health & and being well, and safety and security.

Morocco ranked 30 in leisure options, 27 in personal happiness, 36 in travel and transport, 46 in health & being well, and 38 in safety and security. The overall rank in the quality of life category for Morocco came to 38 out of the total number, outscoring Belgium (44), South Africa (52), and Qatar (55).

Four subcategories determine the overall rank of the second category, ease of settling in, and they are: feeling welcome, friendliness, finding friends, and language.

Morocco obtained the 36th position in the entire category with a score of 45 in feeling welcome, 28 in friendliness, 31 in finding friends, and 48 in language.

Chapter four of the report, which focuses on the ranking of countries in connection to criterion of working abroad, gives Morocco the 39th position, just above Israel but lower than the Philippines.

The working abroad category encompasses three subcategories: job & careers, work-life balance and job security. Morocco ranked 38 in job & careers, 28 in work-life balance, and 44 in job security

Morocco obtained a satisfying rank in the personal finance and cost of living categories, with a rank of 12, and 18, respectively.

As far as the family life category goes, there are four subcategories: availability of childcare & education, costs of childcare & education, quality of education, and family well-being. Morocco was not ranked among the top 45 countries.
