UAE crude oil exports to Japan hit over 25 million barrels in July

TOKYO, 31st August, 2016 (WAM ) -- Data released by Tokyo's Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, ANRE, has shown that Japan imported 25.47 million barrels of crude oil from the UAE in July, 2016.

This accounted for 26.1% of Japan's total crude imports, the agency, which is part of Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, said.

Saudi Arabia provided 32.89 million barrels, or 33.7% of the total, while Kuwait, Qatar, Russia and Iran provided 6.1%, 8.2%, 5.8% and 8.2% respectively.

Figures released by the agency also reveal that Japan imported 2.989 million barrels from Iraq in the same month.

Arab oil accounted for 77.2%, of Japan's total petroleum imports of 97.48 million barrels in July, the agency said.
