Israel quietly legalizes pirate outposts in West Bank

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Washington, Aug.31 (Petra) -- The Israeli occupation authorities are working quietly on legalizing unauthorized outposts for Jewish settlers in the West Bank, the New York Times revealed Wednesday.

In a detailed report, the newspaper revealed that an expansive network of around 100 illegal settlements had been established retroactively over the past two decades in a methodical effort by the Israeli government to change the region's map.

Today, the report revealed, more than 40 Orthodox Jewish families are living in Mitzpe Danny, which was established in 1998. Mitzpe Danny is one of a string of pirate outposts that was built on a strategic ridge with breathtaking views southwest to Jerusalem's Mount of Olives.
